Upon arrival at Chennai International Airport, you will be received and assisted for your onward journey to Kanchipuram – one of the seven sacred cities of India, renowned for its temples and silk sarees. After check-in and some rest, the day will be spent visiting some of the city’s most revered temples. Begin with the Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple, dedicated to Goddess Kamakshi, an incarnation of Parvati. Then proceed to the Varadaraja Perumal Temple, a majestic Vaishnavite temple known for its exquisite architecture. Next, visit the Ekambareswarar Temple, one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams, representing the element of Earth. Conclude your spiritual trail with the Kailasanathar Temple, a stunning 8th-century sandstone structure and the oldest temple in Kanchipuram. Overnight stay in Kanchipuram.
After breakfast, drive to Tiruvannamalai (Arunachalam), a significant pilgrimage site in Tamil Nadu known for its association with Lord Shiva. After breakfast, proceed to Coimbatore, a bustling city nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats. The highlight of the day is a visit to the iconic Isha Yoga Center, founded by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Located at the base of the Velliangiri Mountains, the center is home to the magnificent 112-ft Adiyogi Shiva statue, which holds the Guinness World Record for the largest bust sculpture. Post breakfast, drive to Guruvayur, located in Kerala, and considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus. On arrival, check-in and visit the famous Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple, dedicated to Lord Guruvayurappan, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Upon arrival, board a traditional Kerala houseboat and enjoy a leisurely cruise through the palm-fringed canals and paddy fields. Relish a freshly prepared Kerala-style lunch onboard as you float past local villages and coconut groves. The evening is spent enjoying the calm of the backwaters. Overnight stay on the houseboat or in a hotel in Alleppey.
After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and proceed to Cochin (Kochi), a historic port city with a rich blend of Portuguese, Dutch, and British influence. Upon arrival, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Fort Kochi, including the Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, and Santa Cruz Basilica. You may also visit the Jew Town area and Paradesi Synagogue, and shop for souvenirs in local markets. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Kathakali performance (optional). Overnight stay in Cochin.
